.... Last nights "Sunday Blues Jam" was just what the doctor ordered for both donor and recipient of kidney transplant surgery on Monday. I've always said that singing is good medicine for whatever ailes you and last night was proof. Singing the blues with my lovin' husband on guitar and slide (Hooker) along with the house band did more for me than any pill ever could. My step-dad (the recipient) was wide eyed and smiling with his whole face!!!! My mom was hootin' and hollering most of the night and really diggin' the jams. My father was in attendance as well and really got off on all the great talent. I first visited Ziggies 4 years ago. The changes that have taken place sence then are all good. I guess all the place really needed was a woman's touch We're headed back to Mich. on Tuesday, but Ziggies will be one of our first stops when we return to Colo. for our next visit. Thanx for all the hospitality. Hooker and I felt right at home...as it should be for a blues jam. Thanx to our hosts and to all patrons and musicians for making Sunday night a wonderful healing experience. If you're thinking about giving the gift of life in the form of a kidney donation, just log on to www.kidneyfoundation.org or www.kidney.org Peace and Rowdy Blessings ZIGGIES!!! WooHoo! ~Levi~
