The Congress, formed in 2008 by guitarist Scott Lane and vocalist/guitarist Jonathan Meadows, blends feel-good American music and authentic Southern R&B to produce a fresh, modern Rock sound in an industry of puzzling sub-genres. The group's sound is carried by the true strength of Meadows' tenor voice, which glides over a decidedly modern groove with a nod to the vintage Virginia traditions that seep from their lyrics. Meadows and Lane have both toured throughout the east coast and the mountain regions, and have shared the stage with such acts as The Wailers, Keller Williams, DJ Logic, Culture, Perpetual Groove, Donna the Buffalo, U-Melt, ALO, The Itals, and many more.

Biography
Over the last two years the Terry Quiett Band has played over two-hundred shows across the heartland of the country. They've mesmerized audiences with their original, blues-soaked, groove-inducing, soul-filled sound from 6th Street in "the live music capital" Austin to Beale Street in "the birthplace of rock and blues" Memphis. They've paid their share of dues and tolls from the Rocky Mountains in Denver all the way to the blue grass of Kentucky, winning fans and growing their core grassroots audience with each performance.
A self-produced CD in 2008 titled "Cut the Rope" has helped spread their unique brand of blues-rock to over 300 hundred radio stations throughout the entire world. Highlights include getting tracks on syndicated blues shows such as Bluesville XM, Blues Deluxe and House of Blues Blues-mobile. They even made the Top 20 radio charts for three months in a row in Maine.
Along the way the Terry Quiett Band has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Grammy Award winners and international guitar legends such as the Doobie Brothers, Edgar Winter, Walter Trout, Robin Trower, Eric Sardinas, Albert Cummings, Bernard Allison, Lance Lopez and many others.

Quotes
"CUT THE ROPE. Gawdamighty this CD is hot. If heaven is a blues bar, then TQB will be the house band. TQB evokes some of the classic rock and blues greats Clapton, Walter Trout, Robin Trower, Stevie Ray. Another round of beer here. Then put on TQB as loud as it can go and let me just plain enjoy."
-Cap'n Barney ODD ROCK WMHB 89.7 FM in Maine
"Take the steely blues guitar sound from Stevie Ray Vaughn, match it with the rhythmic bass and drumming of Golden Earring and you get the Terry Quiett Band and one heck of a show."
-Adam Reichenberger, Kansas State Collegian
"It's always refreshing for me to hear a unique sound, a tone that makes you wanna jump up and hit the dance floor...a tone that dives deep to the soul of the matter and The Terry Quiett Band gives me that. Terry Quiett is on the launching pad!"
